Down Syndrome Education

Aragon will push a pioneer in the training material for professionals and families of people with Down syndrome. The project, whose outcome has been captured in a DVD, a CD and a book has been released today by the manager of the Aragon Institute of Social Services (IASS), Juan Carlos Castro, the coordinator of the early focus of the Foundation Down Zaragoza, Pilar Villarrocha, and responsible for External Relations of Master D Zaragoza, Manuel Fancies. a This tool has been developed in the framework of a European program Leonardo, with a transnational character, consists of a DVD aimed at relatives of people with Down syndrome to help them educate and encourage them throughout their development, which considers the whole child, taking into account the intrapersonal biological, psychological and educational, of each individual. The DVD is complemented by a CD, which contains web pages and the most significant contacts, both European and international, and with a book that outlines specific remedies tailored to each country. a In fact, it emphasizes the potential impact of autonomic Down the community, national and international, since the tool is translated into five languages (English, Spanish, Romanian, Italian and Greek). Similarly it has been subtitled in all languages in the whole DVD, so this is a totally accessible material. to the creation of this tool is an innovation with respect to the materials currently available for two issues fundamental. First, because it makes a journey through all stages of life and all areas in one document.
