A 4 year starter in the Big Ten who had over 6 sacks in three of his four starting seasons in Illinois, Derek Walker has all the tools to be a potential starter in the NFL. His strength coupled with his pass rush moves make him very versatile and a great option for any team.

Some guys are great athletes. Some have rocket arms. But, when it all comes down to it, to make it at the next level, you need to be a flat out "football player". A guy who will fight until the whistle, who plays through injuries that would cause most to miss weeks, and who can lead a team soley based on actions on the field. If your team is in need of a middle linebacker in the leadership mold of Ray Lewis and the hard-working intangibles of a Zach Thomas, then Scott McKillop will fill that need better than most in this draft.

Thanks to guys like Antonio Cromartie, tall, lanky, physical corners have been in high demand, And Word-Daniels fits that bill. He played well against the pass and run at Georgia Tech, and was a team leader when he was sidelined his last games of his career.

Forget that he comes from a smaller school in Cal-Poly, Ramses Barden is a player. He won't go in the first two rounds because he is a little raw and hails from a FCS school, but he's worth the chance. At 6-6, he has the Plaxico Burress size. His athletic ability and in air skills mimic that of Randy Moss. No question the best small school receiver, he could start to rise if he shows he's developing even more and is getting quicker.

Sometimes great production means nothing when looking at going on to the next level. But, when it comes from a wide receiver who dominated over a 4 year period, it's to be taken note of. He, not the more heralded Michael Crabtree, is the most productive receiver in the last 2 years, and is the NCAA's all-time leader in TD receptions, among other records he holds. He work ethic could lead that terrific college production to follow him to the NFL.

Looking for a solid pass catcher? Check. Willing blocker? Absolutely. Team leader? Who doesn't need one. While the stat sheet says that Ryan Purvis, tight end from Boston College, isn't an NFL prospect, his willingness to block for his team along with his reliable hands and team leadership make him an enticing pick for a team in need of a tight end.

Thanks to Joe Flacco, among others, team's have been searching the small school ranks very carefully for that next FCS stud. After putting up dominating numbers in the past two seasons, Nathan Brown could be a mid-round sleeper for a team in need of a quarterback.

There's no better time than the present to explode, and while Gartrell Johnson had a great career at Colorado State, his amazing game against Fresno State in their bowl game had teams' mouths watering. His amazing strength and one-cut and go ability could make him a power back or even a full back at the next level.

Most small school guys don't get the attention their Division 1 counter parts do, but that won't be the case for long when it comes to Roger Allen of Missouri Western. Allen's size, strength, and athletic ability will have him rising up draft boards and shedding the small school persona.
